Workshop Assistant, Service & Maintenance

Job Description

  • The client operates one of Europe’s service centers at Forus, Stavanger, focusing on repair and maintenance of drilling tools for offshore use on the Continental Shelf
  • Increased workload and need for additional workshop personnel for a 6-month period
  • Assist the service team and support general workshop duties
  • Take responsibility for understanding and complying with PPE, Quality, and HSE policies
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop and yard, ensuring a clean and organized workplace
  • Extensive use of workshop and lifting equipment
  • Contribute to efficient maintenance processes and timely mobilization of tools
  • Assist Service Technicians during the tool service process
  • Perform general workshop duties including washing, cleaning, and preparing tools for NDT inspection
  • Paint tools prior to dispatch
  • Assist with goods in/out, packing and unpacking cargo baskets, inventory handling, and reworking shipments
  • Ensure safe and efficient use of workshop and lifting equipment in accordance with risk assessments and JSA’s
  • Participate in preventive maintenance systems to ensure equipment checks are completed
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to Quality, Health, and Safety standards at all times

Qualification Requirements

  • High school education
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Good communication skills in both English and Norwegian
  • Service-minded and able to work independently and in a structured manner in a high-paced environment
  • Forklift licenses (T4, T5, T8) desirable
  • Crane license (G4) desirable
