Subsea Technology Consultant – Pipe Tracking Systems

Job Description

  • Support operations, maintenance, and engineering activities related to subsea mechanical systems, including pipelines, pumps, transportation equipment, and associated infrastructure.
  • Support projects and suppliers with technical requirements, marking, data import/export, and management of pipeline component information within the SPTS (Subsea Pipe Tracking System).
  • Participate in planning, design, and execution of subsea systems and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain SPTS software solutions and integrity management programs for subsea assets.
  • Support inspection, repair, maintenance, and operational activities for subsea production systems.
  • Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to optimize performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of subsea systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to suppliers, projects, and operational teams.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and technologies aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Ensure technical integrity and high production efficiency of subsea production systems.
  • Support investment projects, modification projects, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Manage inventory control of pipeline and subsea equipment.
  • Work independently on complex technical challenges with tactical and operational impact.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams across disciplines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, best practices, and digitalization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, ethics, and company requirements.

Qualification Requirements

  • Degree within Engineering, Subsea Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with fabrication of pipe systems and material traceability.
  • Knowledge of pipe production processes and subsea components.
  • Experience with pipeline installation activities.
  • Understanding of project logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with document control and LCI (Life Cycle Information).
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to process and analyze technical data.
  • Experience with databases and web-based information systems.
  • Understanding of subsea asset integrity and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
