Senior Project Planner

Job Description

  • Responsible for schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the Civil scope.
  • Proactively collect and consolidate planning information from relevant project stakeholders, including subcontractors.
  • Communicate, review and integrate subcontractor schedules into the overall project plan.
  • Establish, maintain and update Level 4 and Level 5 schedules for the Civil scope.
  • Lead project progress reviews and validate and challenge reported progress.
  • Identify critical path activities, schedule risks and potential delays, and propose optimization and mitigation measures.
  • Follow up project scheduling in accordance with contractual requirements, authority regulations and the Client’s work processes.
  • Provide the Planning Manager and project management with schedule analyses and decision-support information.
  • Communicate potential scheduling issues and deviations to the Planning Manager to enable timely adjustments and mitigation actions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize the schedule and ensure that improvements are implemented.
  • Coordinate schedules with contractors and on-site construction activities.
  • Support interfaces between civil activities and other relevant disciplines throughout project execution.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within a technical or commercial discipline. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within project planning from EPC projects.
  • Civil planning experience is preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Safran 
  • Strong knowledge of schedule planning, resource planning and cost control.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining Level 4 and Level 5 schedules.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing, work logic and interfaces between disciplines.
  • Experience from EPC, modification or field development projects within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience planning civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation activities.
  • Familiarity with commissioning and completion processes is an advantage.
  • Experience coordinating schedules with contractors and construction/site activities.
  • Structured, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Strong ability to identify schedule risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on project objectives, milestones and deliverables.
  • Able to take ownership of assigned responsibilities and deliverables.
