On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Structural Engineer
Job Description
- Perform structural engineering and design to sea fastening design, design of installation aids, subsea permanent structure
- Produce structural engineering reports and drawings for fabrication and design items
- Provide technical input into vessel design; e.g. deck strength & capacity
- Follow up subcontractors for fabrication of equipment and installation aids
- Provide input to dynamic installation analysis as required
- Attend vessel mobilisations and/or offshore trips when required
- Mentor junior colleagues
Qualification Requirements
- 5-10yrs, experience at senior/principal level
- SURF / Marine Operations is essential
- Experience with seafastening & installation aids design is essential
- Experience with relevant standards, codes and class requirements is required
- Good knowledge of relevant material, fabrication, welding and testing requirements
- Ability to step into a "Package Lead" role, with a strong track record of managing and following up subcontractors delivering engineering services
- Capable of supporting fast pace tender activities with rational approach using previous experiences
