We are looking for two Senior Purchaser

Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies with a strong emphasis on cost reduction and value creation
  • Conduct market screening and maintain excellent market knowledge to identify cost-effective suppliers and solutions
  • Consider and draft different contract formats towards suppliers in collaboration with Legal
  • Establish contract templates for project execution
  • Prepare inquiry documents for major equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering
  • Perform commercial evaluations of quotations, and issue contracts and purchase orders
  • Monitor and ensure delivery within the agreed timeframe, cost, and quality
  • Handle risk assessments and deviations
  • Ensure all activities comply with Abel’s guidelines, work instructions, and procedures
  • Continuously work on improvements to reduce internal and external risks and costs, enhance delivery quality, and strengthen collaboration
  • Contribute to innovating Ways of Working to achieve new cost cut requirements from Client

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (SCM, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Strong commercial mindset
  • Professional, independent and team player
  • High level of collaboration skills
  • Proven experience with strategic work and contract setup
  • Flexible and aligned with the company’s values
  • Structured, systematic and efficient working style
  • High level of proactiveness and ability to define new ways of working in EPC projects

    Duration: 16/03/2026 – 30/06/2027
    Location: Asker
