Technical Safety Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

Job Description

• As part of the technical safety team, you will have the opportunity to work within:
• Functional Safety Engineering (FSA)
• Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments
• Area classification
• Fire and Gas (F&G) / Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems
• Escape routes and evacuation means
• Passive and active fire protection (PFP)
• Working environment analyses (WHERA, chemical risk analysis, Human factors)
• External environment assessments (BAT assessment, environmental budget, energy demand, air emissions, discharge to sea, chemical usage)

Qualification Requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree within relevant disciplines
• Work experience within the Oil & Gas industry on the NCS
• Experience with FEED and early study projects (preferred)
• Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards such as NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API standards
• Good communication skills, both oral and written, in Norwegian and English
• Cooperative working attitude
• Systematic and accurate work style
• High loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements
• Strong self-learning abilities
