Senior Accountant wanted for exciting opportunity in the energy industry

On behalf of our exciting client in the energy industry, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant due to paternal leave coverage. The assignment runs until the end of June 2027 and is based in Stavanger.

Job Description

• Ensure monthly consolidation in line with IFRS and reporting deadlines
• Support consolidated and statutory financial statements and reporting
• Review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow from subsidiaries and JVs
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis
• Support external audit processes
• Oversee bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, bookkeeping and payroll processes
• Support cash forecasting, treasury processes and funding requirements
• Assist CFO with relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Compile financial metrics and report to management
• Support tax-related processes and internal/external presentations
• Contribute to strong internal controls and accounting processes

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience from a similar accounting role
• Strong IFRS and Norwegian GAAP knowledge
• Experience with project financing and financial institutions
• Experience from the renewable energy sector is an advantage
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, databases and financial models
• Experience with finance systems, SAP is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, written and verbal
• Italian language skills are a plus
• Structured, deadline-oriented and able to build trusting working relationships
