Senior Procurement Specialist
Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to strengthen their procurement team. This role is ideal for someone with extensive procurement experience from the oil & gas industry who enjoys driving strategic sourcing initiatives and managing complex contracting processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Business Units to understand business ambitions and procurement needs.
- Develop and implement effective procurement and sourcing strategies.
- Lead end-to-end contracting processes, including strategy development, tendering, negotiations, contract award, contract management, and close-out.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities and ensure competitiveness.
- Drive supply chain improvement initiatives and procurement-related projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry best practices.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree within a relevant field (extensive relevant experience may compensate for formal education).
- Minimum 10 years of experience within procurement.
- Experience from the oil & gas industry, preferably from the operator side.
- Solid knowledge of procurement systems and project procurement.
- Experience with IT procurement is considered an advantage but is not required.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Norwegian, written and spoken.
